Youth Enrichment Center

before
During COVID19, Danilee's Helping Hands was a community heart for working parents and provided reliable solutions for remote learning challenges. Danilee's space provided quiet spaces for individual and small group learning and supported students with a place to learn and socialize, but as the world evolved they wanted to grow their space into a full service youth enrichment center that can accommodate group settings, as well as classroom environments - providing unlimited possibilities to the youth and community. While re-imagining the interior of the existing Danilee's space, another storefront became available aside from the center and we were able to expand our design into the additional storefront. The main goal of the transformation at Danilee's was to provide open, airy and calming vibes. We accommodated the load bearing columns by creating soft radius columns. The main room provides an entry and sign in area, group work area, reading area, and play area. We worked closely with the Municipality for a site plan approval, and throughout the construction to ensure safety, egress and fire alarms were in place.
